Washi printing test

Printed from copper plate from ca. 1900
1) Zerkall 602 Mat white 225 g/m2 (Germany etching paper)
2) Sekishu Washi Kubota (So Kubota in Shimane, Japan) / one layer paper for Japanese-style paintings / Sekishu Kozo 100%
 < 石州和紙久保田 日本画用紙一双 石州楮100% >

* The quality of both impressions was similar, the Zerkall printing paper picked up some more ink and thus gives a higher contrast than the Sekishu Kozo paper, because it is more voluminous, but the rendering of the details is neearly the same.
* After printing, the image on Zerkall paper became smaller than the image on the Sekishu Kozo paper by So Kubota.
